The history of Cyprus is certainly a very interesting one. Cyprus is one of the most po[censored] r traveler destinations within the Mediterranean. It is a 3rd biggest isle within the Mediterranean and it started off a former English Colony. Although over 2 million travelers gather there each year, hardly anyone knows the real history behind the state. By understanding the the past it enables you to recognize the value of the civilization and the culture of Cyprus a whole lot extra.
Cyprus has always been a kingdom full of love and war. According to a fable, the goddess Aphrodite was born within the kingdom and she represented beauty and love. If you think of the word "Aphrodisiac" you will see that it closely matches the goddesses name and it is plan that was where the word in reality came from.
Aphrodite is in fact the reason why so lots of couples these days flock to the island. They believe that the isle is one of the most romantic of them all and it stands out as the the specific favorite when it comes to wedding destinations.
